  • In Office

    1) Consultations for chest pain, shortness of breath, racing/skipping heart, swelling, passing out or near passing out, leg pain

    2) Long-term care for patients with heart artery disease, stents, bypass surgery, artificial valves, pacemakers, defibrillators, leg and neck artery disease

    3) Echocardiograms (heart ultrasound): to look at heart function, valve disease

    4) Treadmill and chemical stress testing: to look for evidence of blockages in the heart arteries

    5) Heart rhythm monitoring: from 24 hours to 30 day monitoring to look for a rhythm problem

    6) Pacemaker and defibrillator checks

    7) Leg artery testing to look for evidence of blockages in the leg arteries

  • At Ennis Regional Medical Center

    1) Calcium scoring: to look for evidence of plaque/heart disease as a screening tool for prevention

    2) Nuclear stress testing, both treadmill and chemical

    3) Inpatient consultation

    4) Neck artery testing

  • Referred to other Facilities

    1) Cardiac catheterization (coronary angiograms): to open a blockage if indicated, to further assess heart valves and pressures

    2) Advanced heart rhythm: most often for patients needing ablations for atrial fibrillation

    3) Advanced heart failure: if transplant or mechanical heart is being considered or if more advanced medical therapy is needed

    4) CT coronary angiograms and cardiac MRI: these tests look at many,many different facets of heart function and anatomy

    5) Heart valve clinic prior to intervention/surgery: generally we are following heart valves here until they reach a point of needing further intervention and then referral is placed. Follow up after valve treatment is resumed here in Ennis post procedure.
